Real Madrid have reportedly agree to the transfer of German international defensive midfielder, Sami Khedira to Arsenal for a fee of €25 million.
According to Spanish sports daily, Marca, Real Madrid and Arsenal reached the agreement on Tuesday and are now awaiting word from Khedira, who is asking for a yearly salary of €7 million.
Khedira has refused to sign a contract extension with Los Blancos and the club prefers to sell Khedira after his market value reached an all-time high following his performances in the 2014 World Cup.
Arsenal, however, may find it difficult to meet the player’s wage demands and would like them lowered before the announce the signing.
Marca went on to add that Real Madrid prefers selling Khedira over Argentine winger, Angel Di Maria, who is worth roughly €60 million, which PSG are fully able to finance.
Khedira’s future now lies in his own hands as he now begins his summer holiday following Germany’s 2014 World Cup victory through the streets of Berlin.
